Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Operation Sindoor is a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's political will, intelligence gathering by various agencies and fire power of Indian armed forces.
"Operation Sindoor is a unique symbol of Prime Minister Modi's strong political will, the precise intelligence of our agencies, and the remarkable strike capability of our three armed forces," he said during the inauguration of the new Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) at North Block in New Delhi.
The multi-agency center, established under the Intelligence Bureau, was created in response to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, aiming to facilitate timely information sharing among various stakeholders in law enforcement.
Under Operation Sindoor, India conducted precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
On May 10, India and Pakistan agreed to halt military actions; however, India has made it clear that it has merely paused its operations, and future actions will depend on Pakistan's behavior.
Modi described Operation Sindoor as India's new strategy against terrorism and a steadfast commitment to justice.
"It is the new normal. We have only suspended our operations against Pakistan, and future actions will depend on their conduct," Modi stated in a 22-minute address.
He also issued a stern warning to Pakistan, asserting that India will not yield to nuclear blackmail, and conveyed a clear message to the world: terror and trade, as well as terror and talks, cannot coexist.
