Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma said the BJP will take reporters on a “guided tour” inside "Sheesh Mahal". He was referring to the 6, Flagstaff Road residence in north Delhi where Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal lived when he was chief minister.
Verma told reporters that he would take reporters inside the bungalow to get a glimpse of how the previous AAP government used taxpayers' money to fund the luxurious life of the chief minister. "Abhi hum chal rahe hai... aapko 'Sheesh Mahal' dikha ke aate hai," he told reporters.
Verma dethroned AAP chief and three-time Delhi CM Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat in the recently held Delhi Assembly elections.

In the run-up to the Delhi election, BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva claimed that a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report of 2022 cited an expenditure of Rs 33.66 crore on the "Sheesh Mahal" Kejriwal had built as Delhi chief minister but the actual cost was far higher.
The BJP had also written to LG Saxena saying that Kejriwal transformed the bungalow into "an ultra-luxurious "Sheesh Mahal" by "illegally annexing" neighbouring government properties.
“There is no revelation on expenses of 2023 and 2024 and, according to our information, the real cost runs up to Rs 75-80 crore if the inventory of the items in the bungalow is included," Sachdeva claimed.
"The next Chief Minister of Delhi will not stay in it (the bungalow)," Sachdeva was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. He also said that the BJP-led government will take a call on how the property would be used in future.
Sachdeva had alleged that valuable items, including a “golden commode,” were missing from the bungalow after Kejriwal moved out.
The makeover of Kejriwal’s residence reportedly cost a whopping Rs 33 crore with the BJP alleging that the AAP had added extravagant amenities including a jacuzzi. The BJP had also shared some snapshots of the renovations.
