Sisodia, who had been imprisoned for 17 months, received bail from the Supreme Court in connection with corruption and money laundering charges related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to convene a crucial meeting on Sunday evening to strategize for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. The party announced that the meeting will be led by senior leader Manish Sisodia, who was recently released on bail.

Sisodia, who had been imprisoned for 17 months, received bail from the Supreme Court in connection with corruption and money laundering charges related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. The Supreme Court granted bail, citing that his prolonged detention without trial had compromised his right to a speedy trial.

The meeting will take place at Sisodia's residence and is expected to focus on the party's electoral strategy and preparations for the Delhi assembly elections scheduled for next year. The gathering will likely involve discussions on key campaign strategies, candidate selection, and mobilising support to retain and strengthen their position in the Delhi legislative assembly.

Sisodia's release is seen as a significant development for the party, which has faced challenges and controversies in recent months. His return is anticipated to bring renewed energy and focus to the party's electoral efforts as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
