Speaking at a programme of CII Young Indians in Nashik, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said the much-anticipated 2027 Kumbh Mela in Nashik will be an amalgamation of faith and technology.
Fadnavis, who is in Nashik, visited the Trimbakeshwar temple on Sunday. He also inspected the Kushavarta pilgrimage area. Devendra Fadnavis also reviewed the preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela to be held in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar in 2027.
Speaking on the significance of the event, the CM said: "The most important thing is that people are understanding the importance of our culture. The Kumbh Mela is attracting people. No improper conduct of any kind took place in the 2015 Kumbh Mela in Nashik. We will conduct the Kumbh Mela through all the technology. This will be a Mahakumbh of devotion. It will be a Mahakumbh technically. The administrative team here is competent. All the people work. Looking at the experience of Prayagraj, I also interacted with the police personnel there. They were on duty for 18 hours at that place. No one complained, they were saying that the Kumbh Mela gave us strength."
Describing the upcoming event in Nashik as a "Kumbh of faith and technology", Fadnavis highlighted that the integration of artificial intelligence, crowd management systems, and augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) tools will offer an immersive experience for attendees.
Talking about Nashik, he said, Nashik is an agricultural economy. Grapes worth Rs 14,000 crore have been exported from here. Some models have been prepared for Nashik. Value change model has been prepared for Nashik. A company like the Japanese ketchup company has made an agreement with the farmers of Nashik and is harvesting for them. Agriculture should be connected with technology. I have started the Smart Agri Business Scheme in the state. Every village has a credit society. We will digitalize them and make them multipurpose societies and turn them into agri business societies. Currently, work is underway in ten thousand villages.
