2 terrorists killed, 2 security personnel injured in Baramulla encounter

Two terrorists are believed to be killed and two security personnel are injured in an encounter that broke out in Baramulla area of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, according to police reports.

The security forces began a search and cordon operation on Wednesday morning after receiving information regarding the presence of ultras in the Watergam region of the Baramulla district.

According to the officials, the search operation degenerated into an encounter after the terrorists started shooting at the security personnel.

Two bodies have reportedly been spotted at the scene of the gunfight but have not yet been removed, according to a senior police official.

He further mentioned that during the gunfight with the terrorists, two members of the security personnel, an army jawan and a police officer, were injured.
