UBS upgrades Info Edge rating to buy; raises price target

Brokerage house UBS has upgraded its rating on online classifieds major Info Edge to ‘buy’  from ‘neutral’, citing attractive risk-reward ratio.

UBS has raised the target price to Rs 1000 with an upside scenario valuation of Rs 1,150. The company has various online portals like Naukri, Zomato and 99acres.

The launch of food ordering service by Zomato too is a huge positive believes UBS.

“This is a positive for Info Edge, as it indicates a robust monetisation strategy on top of strong business growth,” says the report adding that it expects proceeds from the recent round of capital-raising to fund the required expenditure.

“Rising competition for 99acres means it will take time before becoming a significant contributor to the company's earnings. We lower our earnings estimates primarily to factor in dilution from Info Edge's recent capital raising,” the report said.
