Sharmila Joshi of sharmilajoshi.com told CNBC-TV18, "Most of the IT companies have not really given really great returns. Within that pack and the midcap names, Persistent Systems is an attractive name, so if one is a long-term investor and in any case, when you are in an environment when the entire sector is depressed, it does not seem, that unless you are losing money or something like that, then it is a different case. Or if there is something terribly wrong with the company. But both these things do not hold through for Persistent Systems, so I would recommend that if one is a long-term investor, he/she should just stay put."
At 14:43 hrs Persistent Systems was quoting at Rs 658.00, up Rs 1.95, or 0.30 percent on the BSE.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 718.90 and 52-week low Rs 501.10 on 24 June, 2016 and 28 September, 2016, respectively.
