Sharmila Joshi of sharmilajoshi.com told CNBC-TV18, "For me I think Kaveri Seed Company as well as the sector are something -- given the fact that the monsoon season is just starting, I think it makes sense to stay invested in this agriculture sort of play. Again, I think fundamentally also the stock looks alright. So, from both perspectives for me the stock is a hold."
At 15:25 hrs Kaveri Seed Company was quoting at Rs 625.30, down Rs 14.15, or 2.21 percent on the BSE.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 681.90 and 52-week low Rs 344.95 on 13 June, 2017 and 02 September, 2016, respectively.
