Prakash Gaba of prakashgaba.com told CNBC-TV18, "NTPC certainly is looking good to me, has given a good breakout; two breakouts, first is around Rs 160 then at Rs 163 zones, looks like it is heading towards levels closer to Rs 170. So NTPC is up."
NTPC ended at Rs 164.15, down Rs 0.20, or 0.12 percent on the BSE.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 177.80 and 52-week low Rs 126.90 on 27 January, 2017 and 07 April, 2016, respectively.
