DHFL rises 7% on strong Q3 numbers; net profit up 31%

The company's Q3 (Oct-Dec) net profit increased by 31.7 percent at Rs 244.8 crore against Rs 185.9 crore, in the same quarter last year.

    Moneycontrol BureauShares of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) added 7 percent intraday Monday on robust numbers declared by the company for the quarter ended December 2016.The company's Q3 (Oct-Dec) net profit increased by 31.7 percent at Rs 244.8 crore against Rs 185.9 crore, in the same quarter last year.Its calculated net interest income grew by 21.7 percent at Rs 565.4 crore versus Rs 464.6 crore.The net interest margin of the company was at 3.07 percent versus Rs 2.87 percent.The company's gross NPA was at Rs 656.9 crore"The company board has approved the issue of NCDs up to Rs 5000 crore and non-convertible subordinated unsecured debentures of upto Rs 1000 crore on private placement basis," as per company's release."The company's loan sanctioned in the third quarter stood at Rs 9,459.4 crore versus Rs 9,307.6 crore and disbursements during the same quarter was up 10 percent at Rs 7,059 crore," it added.Dewan Housing Finance Corporation was quoting at Rs 289.30, up Rs 18.70, or 6.91 percent on the BSE.Posted by Rakesh Patil
