Moneycontrol BureauShares of CESC and HBL Power Systems gained 1-4 percent intraday Monday on the back of strong numbers announced by the companies.CESC has reported 2.5 percent jump in the Q2 (July-Sept) net profit at Rs 242 crore against Rs 236 crore, in the same quarter last fiscal.The total income of the company was up 12.1 percent at Rs 2,016 crore versus Rs 1,798 crore.The company's EBITDA increased by 26.8 percent at Rs 591 crore and EBITDA margin was up 340 bps at 29.3 percent.HBL Power Systems' Q2 net profit increased by 63.2 percent at Rs 9.3 crore against Rs 5.7 crore.The company's EBITDA rose 4.1 percent at Rs 35.4 crore and EBITDA margin was at 9.4 percent.At 13:53 hrs CESC was quoting at Rs 625.75, up 0.36 percent and HBL Power Systems was quoting at Rs 41.25, up 1.73 percent on the BSE.Posted by Rakesh Patil
