EV Two wheeler Sales for November

TVS Motor retained its lead in India’s electric two-wheeler market in November, even as Hero MotoCorp’s Vida surged past Ola Electric, signalling a fresh shake-up in the pecking order of the country’s fast-growing EV segment. Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy came in at second and third respectively

According to the latest registration data from Vahan, TVS sold 27,382 units, commanding a 26% market share, the highest among all manufacturers for the month.

Close behind was Bajaj Auto, which delivered 23,097 units and captured 21.9% market share, securing the second position. The strong showing from Bajaj primarily led by the Chetak lineup highlights how incumbents with established distribution networks and manufacturing scale are tightening their grip on the EV segment.

Ather Energy ranked third with 18,356 units (17.4% market share), continuing its performance driven by the 450 series and its newer commuter-focused models.

Vida overtakes Ola Electric

In fourth place was Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s EV vertical, recording 10,579 units and a 10% market share. With rapidly expanding offline presence and increasing demand from non-metro customers, Vida has steadily climbed into the top four, positioning itself as a serious challenger.

The biggest shift came from Ola Electric, which slipped to fifth place, selling 7,567 units and holding 7.2% market share.

The decline is significant for a company that once dominated India’s EV two-wheeler landscape and routinely topped the charts.

Industry experts point to intensifying competition, wider portfolios from incumbents, and recent pricing recalibrations as key reasons for the shift. Operational challenges and service-related complaints have also reportedly affected Ola’s momentum.

Other players such as Ampere (5,360 units) and BGauss (2,410 units) remained smaller contributors, while emerging brands like River (1,612 units) are still scaling up.
