The second edition of Startup Mahakumbh concluded triumphantly at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, with an unprecedented 2,30,000 visitors—nearly eight times last year's attendance. The three-day extravaganza showcased India's innovation ecosystem through key sessions, celebrity engagements, and regional startup innovations.

Actor-entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor engaged with startups in the DeepTech pavilion, discussing technology's role in addressing societal challenges. "What impressed me most was seeing innovations that aren't just commercially viable but socially impactful," Kapoor remarked.

Day 2: Fostering Connections

The second day centered on investment and scaling opportunities with over 500 one-on-one meetings between startups and 250+ venture capital firms. A high-profile panel on "Building for Global Markets" featured unicorn founders sharing insights on international expansion strategies.

Regional innovations garnered attention: Bihar's Kisan Network demonstrated their digital marketplace connecting farmers to institutional buyers, Tamil Nadu's Nesa Medtech showcased non-invasive treatments for uterine fibroids, and Gujarat's Oizom presented air quality monitoring solutions deployed globally. Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar participated in the Healthcare pavilion, exploring preventive health innovations with startups specializing in predictive diagnostics and personalized medicine.

Day 3: Celebration of Excellence

The final day marked the conclusion of the Startup Maharathi Challenge 2025, with Union Minister  Piyush Goyal awarding grants totaling Rs 20 crores to winners selected from over 2,400 applications. "Startup Mahakumbh last year saw 30,000 visitors. This year's 2,30,000 attendance demonstrates our ecosystem's exponential growth," noted Goyal, setting an ambitious target of 25,000 applicants for next year's challenge.

The Futurepreneurs Challenge showcased promising student innovations, with Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, presenting awards. Himachal Pradesh's Chitkara University secured first place with "Stick Buddy," an intelligent navigation tool for the visually impaired, followed by innovations from Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh institutions. Actor-entrepreneur Sonam Kapoor Ahuja participated in a session titled "From Spotlight to Boardroom—Navigating the Startup Ecosystem," sharing insights from her entrepreneurial journey.
