TZF Logistics Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zinka Logistics Solutions (which operates the digital freight platform BlackBuck), has received a Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI) licence from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the company said in a stock exchange filing on July 4.

The authorisation, granted under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, will allow TZF to issue and operate prepaid wallets. This could enable BlackBuck to expand into financial services tailored for its fleet operators, such as fuel cards, toll payments, or driver payouts.

A PPI licence allows non-bank entities to issue digital wallets or cards that can be used for transactions like bill payments, merchant purchases, or peer transfers. Companies like Amazon Pay, PhonePe, and Ola Money operate under similar licences.

The Bengaluru-based listed firm operates a trucking marketplace enabling truckers to secure loads efficiently while providing shippers access to reliable freight services. The app offers payments, telematics, a freight marketplace, and vehicle financing services to help truck operators manage their business and grow their income.

The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 280.17 crore in Q4 FY25 as against a net loss of Rs 90.75 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations jumped 30.7 percent YoY to Rs 121.81 crore in the quarter ended 31 March 2025.
