Eyewear company Lenskart on November 15 announced the launch of Meller sunglasses in India as it looks to strengthen its premium and fashion eyewear portfolio and the company looks to tap more Gen Z customers. Meller is owned by Spain-based Stellio, the company Lenskart acquired for Rs 400 crore earlier this year.
The company will bring the sunglasses to its online channels and select offline stores in addition to John Jacobs, its premium lifestyle eyewear collection, and Owndays, a Japanese optical brand that it acquired a few years ago. Its channels will now have Meller, John Jacobs, Le Petit Lunetier and Owndays as part of its offerings.
“With Lenskart’s distribution, supply chain, and technology strengths - and the global momentum of brands like John Jacobs and Owndays - we’re committed to creating the next wave of global eyewear brands for a new generation,” said Peyush Bansal, Co-founder & CEO, Lenskart.
In FY25, Meller brand within Stellio Ventures, S.L. reported a revenue of Rs 272 crore, with an EBITDA of Rs 44 crore, and a Profit Before Tax of Rs 43 crore.
“India is a key milestone in that journey, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner,” said Marco Grandi Blanch, co-CEO of Meller.
