For the full financial year, SpiceJet posted a profit of Rs 48 crore, reversing a net loss of Rs 404 crore in FY24.

SpiceJet Ltd. has reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs 319 crore for Q4 FY25, a 12-fold jump from Rs 26 crore in the previous quarter, signalling a strong turnaround for the low-cost carrier after years of financial turbulence.

This marks the airline’s second consecutive profitable quarter and, notably, its first full-year net profit since FY18. For the full financial year, SpiceJet posted a profit of Rs 48 crore, reversing a net loss of Rs 404 crore in FY24.

The airline’s revival has been powered by robust passenger demand, effective cost optimisation, and stronger yield management. Operating revenue in the March quarter surged 17.5 percent sequentially to Rs 1,446 crore, while total revenue rose to Rs 1,942 crore. EBITDA more than doubled to Rs 527 crore, and the Passenger Load Factor remained high at 88.1 percent. Revenue per Available Seat Kilometre (RASK) also improved to Rs 5.66.

SpiceJet’s net worth, which turned positive in Q3, continued to rise, reaching Rs 683 crore by the end of the financial year. The promoter group completed an equity infusion of Rs 500 crore, including Rs 294 crore in the final tranche during Q4, bolstering confidence in the airline’s long-term trajectory.

While the airline’s full-year revenue dropped to Rs 6,736 crore from Rs 8,497 crore in FY24, enhanced profitability and operational efficiencies helped mitigate the decline.

SpiceJet also expanded its domestic network, launching 24 new flights and adding new destinations like Tuticorin, Porbandar, and Dehradun. The airline introduced special Haj flights and commenced international operations for FY26 with Kathmandu as the first destination.

Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh credited the turnaround to the efforts of the SpiceJet team and investor support, stating that the airline is now “well-positioned for sustainable growth.”
