Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "In a choppy market you can do anything and you won’t make money; that is the truth. However, whatever we have today, there is some opportunity of going short and some for going long."
"DCB Bank is a short selling idea. This stock is already falling, it is going through minor correction. Banks are likely to be weak than the Nifty. So DCB is a short sell and so is Tata Motors," he said.
"I am pretty down beat on Tata Motors. After a big decline, this stock was making a small consolidation and it is now breaking down from that consolidation. That tells us that it was just a pause in an ongoing down trend. It was not a reversal. So, Tata Motors is a short sell for the day and probably for a few days more."
"There is one buying idea which is Marico, a FMCG stock. In all of this decline, FMCG is going to do relatively much better. So, that is a buy. Ideally you would trade as little as possible in a choppy day like today."
