SBI Life shareholders approves appointment of Amit Jhingran as MD & CEO

Public sector insurer SBI Life shareholders approved the appointment of Amit Jhingran as Managing Director (MD & CEO) on November 29, according to the regulatory filing of SBI Life.

SBI Life in its regulatory filing said, "The resolution is deemed to have been passed on the last date specified for remote e-voting which is on November 29, 2023. "

SBI Life further added that the remote e-voting process commenced at 09:00 am on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, and concluded at 05:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 post which the scrutinizer submitted their report on the results of the postal ballot.

SBI Life in its regulatory filing said that more than half of the votes were cast in favour of Amit Jhingran as MD & CEO.

SBI Life Insurance was incorporated in October 2000 and was registered with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in March 2001.

SBI Life caters to individuals as well as group customers through Protection, Pension, Savings and Health solutions.
