Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani opened the 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) with a sweeping vision for the future. He identified artificial intelligence, clean energy and genomics as the three big forces that will define the 21st century and drive Reliance’s next growth phase.
“Owing to its miraculous power, AI can now be called the new Kamdhenu – the divine wish-fulfilling cow of our age,” Ambani told nearly 44 lakh shareholders. He added that these breakthroughs would usher in a world of 'super-abundance and super-affordability' for all.
Global uncertainty, but hope for a golden age
Ambani acknowledged the challenges of a volatile global economy, rising geopolitical tensions and scarce predictability. But he struck an optimistic note, saying the world is 'at the threshold of a golden age' defined by cooperation, shared prosperity and technological convergence.
“The world is realising that conflict produces no winners, whereas co-operation ensures shared prosperity. When nations co-operate, trade flows freely, investments flourish and everyone wins,” he said.
Reliance’s roadmap: AI, clean energy and health
Reliance, Ambani said, has already positioned itself to harness these converging transformations. The company is building what he described as the world’s most advanced clean energy ecosystem, while also expanding into digital health, life sciences and genomics.
“We are developing AI as a new growth engine, besides embedding AI across all our businesses – from retail to telecom, from energy to entertainment,” he said.
“India, with its scale, talent, and entrepreneurial spirit, is uniquely positioned to lead in this new era of AI, Clean Energy, and Genomics. And Reliance has positioned itself confidently to lead our nation’s mission to ensure that abundance and affordability become the birthright of every Indian. This is our solemn promise,” he added.
