Sonu Nigam's father buys luxury Mumbai property for Rs 12 crore

The documents show that the stamp duty paid for the deal was Rs 72 lakh.

The deal with Sonu Nigam's father was signed on March 18 and the seller is Earth Worth Construction Pvt Ltd.

Agam Kumar Nigam, the father of singer Sonu Nigam, has bought a luxury property in Mumbai's posh Versova for Rs 12 crore, documents accessed by Zapkey showed.

The apartment, on the 10th floor, is located on the Versova Sea Link and sprawls 2,002 sq ft.

The deal was signed on March 18 and the seller is Earth Worth Construction Pvt Ltd. The documents show that the stamp duty paid for the deal was Rs 72 lakh.

A list of queries has been sent to Nigam.

Recently, Mumbai saw several high-ticket deals with Mavjibhai Shamjibhai Patel, promoter of diamond company Kiran Gems, buying an apartment in Mumbai's posh Oberoi 360 West for Rs 97.4 crore in April.

In the same month, Anil Gupta, Chairman & MD of Wellknown Polyesters Ltd, purchased two apartments worth Rs 270 crore in Lodha Malabar project in South Mumbai being constructed by Macrotech Developers.

Malabar Palaces by Lodha is being constructed on Walkeshwar Road in the Malabar Hill area, considered one of the country's most expensive residential areas.

And in January this year, cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal purchased an apartment in Mumbai for Rs 5.38 crore in the Ten BKC project at Bandra East.
