Veteran actor and promoter of Balaji Telefilms Jeetendra Kapoor and family has sold a land parcel in Mumbai’s Andheri for Rs 855 crore to NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure, according to documents assessed from prop tech firm, Square Yards.
Japanese tech conglomerate NTT is India’s largest data center provider and a prominent IT services company.
The transaction, registered in May 2025, was done through two family-owned firms - Pantheon Buildcon and Tusshar Infra Developers. The deal includes two contiguous land parcels measuring a total of 9,664.68 sq metres, or around 2.4 acres. The land parcel currently houses Balaji IT Park, which includes three constructed buildings. The market value of the land is worth Rs 729.26 crore, as per the documents.
A stamp duty of about Rs 8.69 crores and registration charges of Rs 30,000 were charged on the transaction, according to official documentation.
This comes at a time when global technology giants including NTT, Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS are looking to expand their data center network in India to service clients around the region. The demand for data center space has only increased in the current artificial intelligence boom,
Andheri is a critical commercial and residential hub in Mumbai, having several major offices and IT parks around.
Kapoor is a Bollywood veteran having acted in over 200 films. He is also the promoter and non-executive chairman of Balaji Telefilms, a major film production company known for producing several hit television shows and movies in the country, led by his daughter Ekta Kapoor. His son Tusshar Kapoor too is an actor and producer in the Hindi film industry.
