The Maharashtra government has extended the e-KYC deadline for ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme beneficiaries to December 31, 2025. The move comes as a big relief to thousands of eligible beneficiaries of the scheme who were unable to complete the verification process by the earlier cut-off date of November 18, 2025.
The update on the scheme was shared by Maharashtra minister Aditi S Tatkare in a social media post. The post, written in Marathi, briefed the cause of the extension.
'Due to the natural calamities and other difficulties faced in the state over the past few days, many eligible women under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana could not complete the e-KYC process on time. I am fully aware of these challenges. Taking these difficulties into serious consideration, the state government has made a very important decision', Tatkare wrote in the post.
