In a big relief to investors, Indian bank has extended the deadline to invest in its special fixed deposit schemes till December 31, 2025. The schemes — IND Secure (444 days) and IND Green (555 days) were earlier open till September 30, 2025. These programs still provide depositors in all categories with alluring interest rates.
Indian Bank IND Secure FD (444 days)

One of the best short-term returns available is provided by the IND Secure FD (444 days).
- Duration: 444 days
- Range of investments: ₹1,000 to under ₹3 crore
- Interest rates:
- 6.70% per year for general citizens.
- Senior citizens: 7.20% annually.
- 7.45% per year for super senior citizens.
Indian Bank IND Green FD (555 days)The bank's sustainability initiative included the launch of the IND Green FD (555 days). It supports environmentally friendly projects in addition to providing good returns.
- Duration: 555 days
- Range of investments: ₹1,000 to under ₹3 crore
- Interest rates:
- 6.60% per year for general citizens.
- Senior citizens: 7.10% annually.
- Super senior citizens: 7.35% annually.
Current Indian Bank FD Rates (effective August 1, 2025)- The bank offers FD rates between 2.80% and 6.70% for general citizens.
- While the short-term FDs (7 to 45 days) fetch between 2.8% and 3%.
- Meanwhile, mid-range deposits (46 to 180 days) offer 3.25% to 3.85%.
- Interestingly, the rate rises to 4.75%, for tenures between 9 months and 1 year, while a 1-year deposit earns 6.10%.
- Longer tenures (1 to 5 years) earn between 6.25% and 6.5%, and deposits beyond 5 years get 6%.
- Super seniors can benefit from somewhat higher returns, while senior citizens can earn between 3.3% and 7.20%.
Indian Bank offers investors additional time to diversify their savings and lock in attractive interest rates with this extension. This holiday season, the IND Secure and IND Green schemes might be a lucrative option for those seeking high-yield, short-to-medium-term deposits.
