How to order PVC Aadhaar cards online for your whole family using one mobile number

These cards can be ordered by you and your family members even if only a single mobile number is registered on the Aadhaar account. This facility is particularly useful for families where all members do not have a unique registered mobile number linked to their Aadhaar. Why the PVC Aadhaar card?

Your Aadhaar card has become the primary identity card in the country and is used as a confirmation of your identity and address. So far, Aadhaar cards were printed on paper, and had a low shelf-life, even after lamination. The PVC Aadhaar cards, which was recently introduced by the UIDAI, looks like an ATM card and easily fits into your wallet, giving it a longer durability. It includes security features such as holograms, guilloché patterns, and QR codes.

Verify the request for PVC Aadhaar on UIDAI website

Visit the official UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in and click on the "Order Aadhaar PVC Card" option available under the "My Aadhaar" option. You can directly go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricPVC to place your request. You don't have to sign in using Aadhaar OTP to order.

Enter Aadhaar number for all family members

You will need to provide the 12-digit Aadhaar number (or 28-digit Enrollment ID) of each of the family member/s in whose name you want to order the PVC card. You may enter all the numbers separately through the same registered mobile number used for any one Aadhaar.

Authenticate using OTP on registered mobile number

When you enter the Aadhaar number, select the option that says "My mobile number is not registered" in case the individual's Aadhaar is not linked to a phone. You may then enter your own mobile number (it has to be linked with your Aadhaar) and proceed to generate an OTP. Enter the OTP sent for verification and proceed.

Pay ₹50 and place the order

Once validated, you can preview the Aadhaar details. Make sure all details are entered correctly and then proceed to payment. The PVC Aadhaar costs ₹50 each, including GST and delivery charges. The website takes the payment through UPI, net banking, credit or debit card.

Track delivery with SRN number

Once your payment is successful, you will receive a 28-digit Service Request Number (SRN) which you can use track the status of your application. The PVC card is normally sent by speed post and should reach you within 7-15 working days at the registered Aadhaar address.

Q1: Is the same mobile number accepted for ordering PVC Aadhaar cards for more than one individual?

Yes. UIDAI also allows you to use any one registered mobile number to place an order for PVC cards for multiple Aadhaar holders. The number does not necessarily have to be registered with each individual's Aadhaar.

Q2: What if the Aadhaar of my family member doesn't have any mobile number linked?

You can still place an order for their PVC Aadhaar card using your registered mobile number by selecting the option "My mobile number is not registered" while requesting for the card.

Q3: Is there a restriction on the number of PVC Aadhaar cards I can purchase via a single number?

There is no limit. You can proceed with the process for each family member using the same mobile number, provided you enter their Aadhaar numbers separately for every transaction.
