Banks across India are set to remain shut for almost 19 days in the month of December. According to RBI Holiday calendar, bank holidays are marked under Negotiable Instruments Act, i.e. these holidays can vary from region to region. Therefore, banks across India will remain closed on different dates due to several public and regional holidays.

However, on December 25, 2025, all banks across the country will remain closed due to national holiday of Christmas Day.

It is worth noting that digital banking, UPI, and mobile apps will provide uninterrupted access to fund transfers and bill payments. However, those needing physical services like cheque clearance, demand drafts, or locker visits must plan around these holidays.
