Equity Funds continues to lose in the volatile market condition. None of the funds in the equity domain could withhold market pressure and thus closed in a negative terrain. Funds particularly belonging to Banking & Finance space were hit the most in yesterday’s session after government estimates showed that India's FY13 growth could be worse than expected.

The Sensex fell on Thursday, to its lowest close in one-and-a-half months down by 0.26 percent while Nifty ended down 0.31 percent.

Among Fixed Income funds, both Long and Short term delivered good performance registering no decline led by improved sentiment in the debt market.
