The top losers in the trading session on S&P 500 were GoDaddy Inc, DaVita Inc, Applied Materials Inc, Ingersoll Rand Inc, Motorola Solutions, and others.
Markets will keep a close watch on the recent earnings season and economic policy changes from the Trump administration on tax cuts, tariffs, or changes in fiscal policies.
Stocks in focus
Intel shares were up 11.25 percent at 14.01 ET after a report said that two big tech companies—Broadcom and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)—might be interested in buying parts of Intel. Broadcom is considering buying Intel’s chip design and marketing division.
TSMC is looking at either investing in or completely taking over Intel’s factories, the report added.
Shares of the sportswear and footwear brand Nike surged 4.8 percent after revealing a collaboration with Kim Kardashian's Skims shapewear line to launch a new brand.
Shares of Super Micro Computer Inc increased 11.45 percent after the company guided for $40 billion of revenue in its fiscal 2026, which was way above analysts’ expectations in its second-quarter business update.
