Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd was in focus on Wednesday after the Hyderabad-based firm said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) to provide 5G services at select railway stations.
Konkan Railway Corporation is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways.
Under the MoU, the company will support the demonstration and implementation of next-generation connectivity and entertainment solutions at three stations — Madgaon, Ratnagiri and Udupi.
The company said in a filing that it will roll out its 5G fixed wireless access offerings and in-station and in-train entertainment solutions as part of a phased proof-of-concept exercise to be evaluated by KRCL.
The company said it was “honoured” to partner with KRCL to provide digital products as value-added services on the 5G network with internet backhaul at the identified stations.
KRCL Chairman and Managing Director Santosh Kumar Jha said the tie-up aligns with the corporation’s efforts to upgrade passenger services and modernise the Konkan Railway corridor.
Meanwhile, shares of Blue Cloud Softech saw profit-taking and were quoted at Rs 24.35 on the NSE, up 3.26 per cent at around 3 p.m.
