RBI sets rupee reference rate at Rs 66.7445 against dollar

According to an RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were quoted at 101.3649 and 55.93 per 100 yen, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.

The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of rupee at 66.7445 against the US dollar and 74.2733 for the euro as against 66.4003 and 73.8903 respectively, yesterday. According to an RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were quoted at 101.3649 and 55.93 per 100 yen, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon. The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, the statement added.
