
Quant Mutual Fund has appointed Mahendra Kumar Jajoo as a Whole-Time Director on the board of Quant Money Managers Limited, its asset management company (AMC), with effect from January 14, 2026, the fund said in an regulatory notice.
Jajoo brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. A B.Com graduate and professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and CFA (USA), he has held senior leadership and investment roles at institutions such as ICICI, ABN AMRO, Tata Group, Pramerica Asset Managers, and Mirae Asset.
Before joining Quant Money Managers, Jajoo was associated with Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Private Limited as Chief Investment Officer – Fixed Income.
In December 2025, Mirae Asset had announced that Jajoo would step down from his role as CIO–Fixed Income and key personnel, effective close of business on December 26, 2025. Following his resignation, Basant Bafna was designated as Head – Fixed Income at MAIMI with effect from December 27, 2025, along with changes in fund management responsibilities. In a release at the time of his resignation, Mirae Asset had noted , "Over the years, Mahendra Jajoo has been instrumental in shaping our business, leading with a calm, steady hand and a deeply professional approach. He has helped build a strong and resilient foundation for Mirae Asset Mutual Fund in India, strengthening our franchise, nurturing key relationships, and setting up platforms that will support the organisation’s growth in the years ahead." He was a part of the fund house since August 2016.
