Shares of Vikram Solar ended with gains of nearly 6 percent on debut trade on August 26, while Patel Retail, Gem Aromatics and Shreeji Shipping Global closed lower amid a weak session for benchmark indices.

Shares of Vikram Solar, a solar module manufacturer, settled at Rs 357.5 apiece on the NSE, up 5.77 percent from its open price of Rs 338. The stock made a tepid debut, listing at Rs 338 on the NSE, a premium of 2.41 percent over the issue price of Rs 332, and at Rs 340 on the BSE, up 1.81 percent.
It later touched a high of Rs 381.65. The company’s market valuation stood at Rs 12,931.38 crore. Its Rs 2,079-crore initial public offering (IPO) was subscribed 54.63 times.
Patel Retail closed at Rs 290 per share, down 3.33 percent from its open price of Rs 300. The supermarket chain had listed at Rs 305 on the BSE, a premium of 19.60 percent over the issue price of Rs 255, and at Rs 300 on the NSE, a gain of 17.65 percent.
Gem Aromatics ended at Rs 322.9 on the NSE, down 3.06 percent from its open price. The stock debuted at Rs 333.10 on the NSE, a 2.49 percent gain over its issue price of Rs 325, while on the BSE it listed at par with the issue price.
Shreeji Shipping Global settled at Rs 254.4 on the NSE, down 5.78 percent from its open price. The stock had listed at Rs 271.85 on the BSE, up 7.87 percent from the issue price of Rs 252, and at Rs 270 on the NSE, a premium of 7.14 percent.
The benchmark Sensex closed 849 points lower at 80,989, slipping below the 81,000 level on Tuesday following heavy selling after the US issued a draft notice on an additional 25 per cent tariff on Indian products.
