    Several newly listed stocks recorded significant gains on July 16 as market optimism around continue to remain high. This comes amid a tepid market, with benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closing in the green with marginal gains.

    Crizac: The shares of the Kolkata-based education company gained over 4 percent to close at Rs 352 apiece, extending gains for the second consecutive session. Crizac shares had made a strong debut on stock markets, listing at 15 percent premium over IPO price at Rs 281.05 apiece on July 9. The shares of the company have now gained more than 14 percent since listing, despite some volatility.

    Schloss Bangalore: The shares of 'The Leela' hotel chain's operator jumped nearly 4 percent to trade at Rs 452 apiece. The stock had made an underwhelming market debut on June 2, listing at a discount of 7 percent over the IPO price at Rs 406 apiece. Schloss Bangalore shares have so far gained around 4 percent since listing.

    Belrise Industries: Shares of Belrise Industries gained around 4 percent to trade at Rs 123 apiece. The shares of the company had listed at 11.11 percent premium to IPO price at Rs 100 apiece on May 28. The stock has gained nearly 27 percent since its market debut.

    Aegis Vopak Terminals: The shares of Aegis Vopak Terminals rallied nearly 6 percent to close at Rs 282 apiece. The shares of the company had debuted on the markets at a discount of over 6 percent over its IPO price at RS 220 apiece on June 2. After an underwhelming market debut, the shares of the company have gained over 16 percent so far.

    Borana Weaves: The shares of Borana Weaves jumped over 4 percent to close at Rs 238 apiece. The shares of the company had listed at a premium of 12.5 percent over its IPO price at Rs 243 apiece on May 27. The stock however has fallen over 7 percent so far.

    Globe Civil Projects: The shares of Globe Civil Projects jumped over 2 percent to close at Rs 84.40 apiece. The stock debuted with a 27 percent premium to IPO price at Rs 90 apiece on July 1. The Rs 119-crore IPO saw a bumper subscription of 86.03 times in the primary market.
