Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured its largest-ever order for its offshore hydrocarbon business of over Rs 15,000 crore from QatarEnergy LNG.
One world’s premier LNG company awarded the contract for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4) to L&T Hydrocarbon Business (L&T Energy Hydrocarbon – LTEH).

The scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes, each comprising of large offshore platforms with compression & power generation facilities, living quarters, flare platforms, interconnected bridges, and other associated structures to be located at approximately 80 kms off the northeast coast of Qatar, the company said in an exchange filing.
Shares of L&T moved higher to an intraday high of Rs 3,496.8 per share on the NSE, up 0.78 percent. Later, it trimmed its gains to trade at Rs 3,479.65, up 0.29 percent.
