Nifty snaps two day gaining streak on July 17

stock Nifty snapped its two day gaining streak and slipped below 25,150-mark. Amongst sectors, Nifty Realty was the top performer while Nifty IT was the top laggard.

stock Emcure Pharma | CMP: Rs 1,361 | Emcure Pharmaceuticals erased gains after rising 2 percent in intra-day deals on July 17 after it signed a deal with Sanofi India to distribute and promote Sanofi’s oral anti-diabetic drugs, including Amaryl and Cetapin, across India. The collaboration aims to expand access to trusted diabetes therapies through Emcure’s strong national network.

stock Le Travenues Tech | CMP: Rs 214 | Le Travenues Tech, the operator of online travel portal Ixigo, hit 20 percent upper circuit, recording all-time highs after the June quarter results showed strong growth, led by faster-than-expected growth in bus and flight bookings with a Gross Transaction Value (GTV) growth of 55 percent on year.

stock Realty stocks | The Nifty Realty index extended its winning streak for the fourth consecutive day, rising over 1 percent on July 17 in an otherwise subdued market. Nearly nine out of ten index constituents were trading in the green, with Prestige Estates, Sobha, and Brigade Enterprises gaining between 1–2 percent in intraday trade.

The stock gained after the company announced a collaboration with Hygenco to set up Maharashtra's first green hydrogen production facility for optical fibre manufacturing.

Brokerages remained mixed on their outlook for the firm following strong deal wins during the quarter, while the revenue came in under estimates.

stock Sona BLW | CMP: Rs 484 | Shares of Sona BLW Precision Forgings sharply surged over 8 percent on July 17 after a report said that Chinese automaker BYD is in talks with the company for the supply of EV components. The Indian company may also set up a local component manufacturing plant in China, CNBC-TV18 reported. Talks between Sona BLW and BYD have been ongoing for the past few months now, and the local component manufacturing plant in China is part of Sona BLW's long term roadmap.

stock Angel One | CMP: Rs 2,730 | Capital markets player Angel One shares traded with gains on July 17, even after the firm reported a steep fall in net profit following regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India's crackdown on retail trading in the derivatives segment.

stock Navkar Corporation | CMP: Rs 129 | Navkar Corporation shares rose 12 percent on July 17 after it reported healthy first-quarter results, with the company swinging back to profitability after posting losses in the same period last year. The performance was aided by higher revenue and a sharp improvement in operating margins, which boosted investor sentiment.

stock Thermax | CMP: Rs 3,893 | Shares of Thermax rose up to 12% after brokerage firm Kotak Institutional Equities retained an 'Add' rating on the stock, saying the company is walking the talk.

stock L&T Tech | CMP: Rs 4,419 | The stock rose over a percent on July 17 after the firm reported its quarterly earnings show for June 30, 2025, with net profit supported by a strong tax return. LTTS posted a slight 0.7 percent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for Q1 FY26 at Rs 316 crore, compared to Rs 314 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations grew 16 percent year-on-year to Rs 2,866 crore from Rs 2,462 crore.
