FIIs net sellers of equities worth Rs 1,750 crore, DIIs net buy Rs 5,127-crore shares

Foreign Institutional Investors (FPIs/FIIs) stood as net sellers of Indian equities at worth Rs 1750 crore. Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) net bought Rs 5127 crore on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, according to provisional exchange data.

DIIs bought shares worth Rs 18312 crore and sold shares worth Rs 13185 crore. In contrast, FIIs purchased shares valued at Rs 15594 crore, while offloading shares worth Rs 17344 crore.

Market Performance

Indian equity benchmarks extended gains on November 12th, closing on a firm footing with the Nifty decisively reclaiming the 25,850 mark. At close, the Sensex was up 595.19 points or 0.71 percent at 84,466.51, and the Nifty was up 180.85 points or 0.70 percent at 25,875.80. "Global markets moved higher as investor confidence improved, supported by hopes of a deal to avoid the U.S. government shutdown and rising expectations of early Fed rate cuts following signs of a slowdown in the U.S. job market. Emerging markets also gained, reflecting the pickup in overall global sentiment," noted Bajaj Broking.

Midcap index rose 0.79 percent and small-cap index added 0.82 percent. Barring the realty & Metals index, all major sectoral indices closed in the green, with notable strength seen in media, auto, telecom, IT, and consumer durables, which advanced between 1–2%, the note added.
