Deven Choksey, Managing Director of DRChoksey Finserv anticipates that the Budget will build upon the themes set out in the interim budget in February. He expects increased expenditures in infrastructure and production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes for manufacturing. The key areas likely to see significant allocations are agriculture, infrastructure, and manufacturing, Choksey told Moneycontrol.
Infrastructure Investment
Choksey predicts that the budget will allocate substantial funds to infrastructure projects. While past budgets have focused on freight corridors, this year’s budget may shift attention to waterways and inland transportation. The government, according to Choksey will aim to enhance logistics efficiency and improve transportation networks across the country.

This includes investments in manufacturing under PLI schemes and the development of electrolyzer technology. Public sector projects, particularly those involving oil PSUs, are likely to receive considerable support to advance green hydrogen technology.
