DAM Capital share price declined over 9 percent in January 13 trade to settle below its listing price amid a broader market decline. Markets witnessed a sharp decline on Monday, losing over 1.5 percent as the ongoing corrective phase intensified. The broader indices also experienced significant losses, plunging nearly 4% each.
The stock of DAM Capital Advisors Ltd touched an intraday low of Rs 324.05 per share on the NSE, declining 9.28 percent from its previous close. It had opened gap-down with a loss of 4.49 percent in today's trading session. The scrip has been losing for the last four days and has slipped 18.91 percent in the period.
Investment banker Dharmesh Mehta-led DAM Capital Advisors' has reinforced its market position as a leading investment bank. The BSE IPO index also closed 4.19 percent lower to 14,861.53.
DAM Capital Advisors shares made their stock market debut on December 27, listing at Rs 393 on the NSE, marking a premium of 39 percent over the issue price of Rs 283 per share.
Meanwhile, the equity benchmark Sensex cracked over 1,000 points to dive below the 77,000 level on Monday, tracking heavy selling in global equities and a spike in international crude prices.
A strong US jobs data that dampened early rate cut expectations, the rupee logging its steepest single-day fall in nearly two years and unabated foreign fund outflows also dampened investors' sentiment.
Falling for the fourth straight session, the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex tanked 1,048.90 points or 1.36 per cent to finally settle at 76,330.01. During the day, it plunged 1,129.19 points or 1.45 percent to 76,249.72. The NSE Nifty dropped 345.55 points or 1.47 percent to close at 23,085.95.
