BNP Paribas has sold stakes worth more than Rs 3,000 crore across multiple companies, including Swiggy, Vishal Mega Mart and Waaree Energies, through block deals, the large deals data on the National Stock Exchange shows.
The stakes were sold on August 26. BNP Paribas Financial Markets, a unit of the French banking group, offloaded 4,19,164 shares of Hitachi Energy India Ltd at an average price of Rs 19,794.72 apiece, amounting to Rs 829 crore.
It also sold 2,69,02,006 shares in Swiggy at Rs 430.38 each for about Rs 1,158 crore, while acquiring 4,34,660 shares at Rs 426.68 apiece for Rs 18.5 crore.
In Vishal Mega Mart, the company sold 5,53,09,783 shares at an average price of Rs 152.80 a share, valuing the deal at Rs 845.13 crore.
It divested 17,83,703 shares of Waaree Energies at Rs 3,266.21 apiece, totalling Rs 583 crore.
BNP Paribas also executed trades in Zomato’s parent Eternal, buying 10,12,39,655 shares at an average price of Rs 318.10 a share for Rs 3,220 crore. It also sold 16,083 Eternal shares at Rs 317.94 apiece for Rs 51 lakh.
