Credit Suisse bets on two-wheelers

We still believe volatility in multiples will be higher than in earnings as funds flow into India fluctuate around changing expectations for medium-term GDP growth

Here are experts equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Neelkanth Mishra, Credit Suisse: We still believe volatility in multiples will be higher than in earnings as funds flow into India fluctuate around changing expectations for medium-term GDP growth. We maintain our preference for two-wheelers, select resource stocks like Hindustan Zinc, Coal India, private banks like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and ITC.

Sean Darby, Nomura: It appears that the 'sell in May' tactic started almost on time, as investors withdrew the 'risk on' trade as signs of a sentiment shift on a weak dollar emerged. Asian equity markets remain highly correlated to a weak dollar. They are currently caught between counting on growth while taking on more risk.
