Investors should exercise caution before buying: Nomura

Given the proximity to the end of QE2, and the fact that sentiment may unwind further, we suggest a cautious approach in the near-term.

Here are expert equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Ian Scott, Nomura: Given the proximity to the end of QE2, and the fact that sentiment may unwind further, we suggest a cautious approach in the near-term. For the rest of the year we continue to see upside for stocks but investors should exercise some caution before buying.

Tim Condon, ING Financial Markets: Riskier assets like stocks, commodities and the euro sold off after the US Fed's comments yesterday. We can infer that his comments indicated tightening the policy. The Fed will be able to implement QE3 only if gasoline prices move closer to USD 2.50 levels.
