The Indian rupee opened at 45.70 per dollar versus 45.72 yesterday.

Pramit Brahmbhatt, Alpari India said that, "The rupee is constantly under pressure because of FII selling. The IIP number will not have a significant impact on the dollar-rupee movement. Range for the day is seen at 45.50 - 45.80."
