Kedaara Capital appointed Keki Mistry as an Independent Operating Advisor to Kedaara Funds on January 7.
With more than four decades of experience in banking and financial services, Mistry is expected to provide crucial expertise to strengthen Kedaara’s financial services team, according to a statement from Kedaara Capital.
Mistry’s professional journey began at AF Ferguson & Co, a respected Chartered Accountancy firm, before moving on to roles at Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Indian Hotels Company Ltd. In 1981, he joined HDFC Ltd., where he progressed through key positions, including Executive Director in 1993, Managing Director in 2000, and Vice Chairman & Managing Director in 2007. In 2010, he became Vice Chairman & CEO. Following the merger of HDFC Ltd with HDFC Bank, Mistry retired from HDFC Ltd and took up a Non-Executive Director role at HDFC Bank in June 2023.
Mistry played an instrumental role in HDFC’s transformation into a leading financial services group, including the establishment of HDFC Bank, HDFC Asset Management, HDFC Life Insurance, and HDFC ERGO General Insurance.
At Kedaara, Mistry will advise the financial services team, providing insight and guidance on both ongoing and future investments within the sector.
