Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan, who is all set to make his debut with Loveyapa alongside Khushi Kapoor, recently shared an amusing anecdote about his sister Ira Khan's husband, Nupur Shikhare. In an interview with Hauterrfly, Junaid revealed how Nupur ended up cuddling with him all night before his wedding after an epic drinking contest.
Junaid explained a quirky family tradition where anyone dating his sister Ira had to participate in a drinking contest with him. The rules were simple but intense: pick the liquor, take a shot every 15 minutes, and prove their mettle. According to Junaid, this playful test was his way of ensuring Ira’s suitors could handle themselves in vulnerable situations.
When it was Nupur's turn to take on the challenge, he tapped out and admitted defeat mid-game. Junaid, impressed by his honesty and maturity, skipped his turn and declared Nupur the winner. Ira, capturing the heartwarming moment on video, appreciated Nupur’s vulnerability and Junaid’s acceptance.
The fun didn’t stop there. Nupur, overwhelmed from the contest, ended up spending the night on the bathroom floor with Ira taking care of him. Later, Junaid helped him to bed, but the situation took a humorous turn when Nupur unknowingly cuddled with Junaid all night. Junaid laughingly shared, “He was in my bed, and he just clung to me like a teddy bear.”
Junaid Khan is gearing up for the release of Loveyapa, directed by Advait Chandan, slated to hit theaters on February 7, 2025. With Khushi Kapoor as his co-star, the rom-com promises a refreshing storyline. The trailer has already generated excitement, marking Junaid’s promising entry into Bollywood.
