Jubilant FoodWorks issues statement on reports of FIR against Shyam Bhartia

The company has issued a clarification amid reports of an FIR against Bhartia.

Jubilant FoodWorks Chairman Shyam Sundar Bhartia has denied the recent allegations against him as "baseless, false and defamatory", according to a statement by the company.

The company has issued a clarification amid reports of an FIR against Bhartia.

According to the company, Bhartia has said that the allegations were made with a "clear malafide intent".

The company said that the Bombay high court has directed the police to investigate the case on its own merits, while also clarifying that the court has not commented on the merits of the complaint in any manner.

It said that Bhartia will fully cooperate with investigation agencies as and when called upon to do so.

"As the investigation in this matter is ongoing, no additional comments can be made at this stage

Shyam S. Bhartia has further requested that the privacy of the family be respected," the statement said.
