Artificial Intelligence is set to take center stage at the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, underscoring how the technology has evolved from a futuristic concept to the backbone of India’s digital transformation.

This year’s IMC, scheduled from October 8–11 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi, will showcase nearly 800 AI-driven use cases, featuring cutting-edge innovations across healthcare, finance, agriculture, logistics, and telecom.

India’s first International AI Summit to debut at IMC

The event will host the first-ever International AI Summit, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Scheduled for October 10, 2025, the summit will bring together policymakers, global industry leaders, and innovators to discuss how AI is reshaping telecom networks and driving socio-economic benefits in sectors such as healthcare, education, and startups.

The summit will also serve as a precursor to India’s AI Impact Summit planned for February 2026, reinforcing India’s strategic focus on harnessing AI for inclusive growth and responsible innovation.

‘AI for Good’ initiative makes India debut

Adding to the significance, the globally acclaimed ‘AI for Good’ initiative by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will make its India debut at IMC 2025 with a dedicated track titled ‘Expanding AI for Good to India 2025’. The programme, also slated for October 10, will include discussions on AI governance, cybersecurity, quantum innovation, AI for nutrition, and youth perspectives on ‘Viksit Bharat’, along with the Innovation Factory pitch event.

Focus on responsible and inclusive AI

IMC 2025 will go beyond showcasing technology, it will also lead crucial conversations around responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI adoption. Sessions such as Responsible AI: India’s Role in Global Governance and Societal Impact and Governing the Intelligent Network – Privacy, Safety and Ethics in AI-Native Systems will address frameworks for transparency, accountability, and equitable outcomes as AI becomes deeply integrated into governance and industry.

Other thematic sessions include:

  • Democratizing Intelligence: Building India’s AI Infrastructure
