Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on February 11 said that bilateral trade between Israel and India can grow ten-folds in the next 12 or 13 years.
Addressing the media in New Delhi following the India-Israel Business Forum, Goyal said, "We can easily look at a 10x growth in India and Israel's bilateral trade coupled with investments on both sides happening in the next 12 or 13 years."
Total bilateral trade between India and Israel stood at $2.36 billion during April-November 2024.
While, India's exports to Israel stood $1.31 billion during April-November 2024, down 62.14 percent on-year, while imports dropped 25.16 percent to $1.05 billion.
Earlier during the inaugural session of the Business Forum, Goyal reaffirmed India’s commitment to becoming a $30-35 trillion economy by 2047, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
He highlighted the growing India-Israel partnership, built on shared values of democracy, economic resilience, and technological advancement, while underlining India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism and commitment to global peace and security.
