Budget 2024: Higher demand for gold from India could support global prices, which hit a record high earlier this year.

The Union Government will prepare vision and strategy documents for the financial sector to meet the financing needs of the economy, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.

“For meeting financing needs of the economy, our government will bring out a financial sector vision and strategy document to prepare the sector in terms of size, capacity and skills. This will set the agenda for the next 5 years and guide the work of the government, regulators, financial institutions and market participants,” Sitharaman said in her union budget address on July 23.
