    Transrail Lighting Ltd on January 15 reported 22% jump in standalone net profit at Rs 58 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. It reported Rs 47.5-crore net profit in the year-ago period.

    The company's standalone revenue from operations increased 11.5% to Rs 1,068 crore in Q2FY25 as against Rs 957 crore in Q2FY24.

    On January 15, the recently-listed Transrail's shares on BSE closed 5% lower at Rs 600 apiece.

    Separately, the company said its board approved capex plan of nearly Rs 327 crore.

    "The Board has approved capex plan of Rs 326.6 Crore to increase inter alia the manufacturing capacity of the existing plants, set up of a new tower manufacturing facility and to procure plant & machinery for construction. The Board also approved fund raising through debt up to Rs 236.6 crore to fund the capex plan," said Transrail in a stock exchange filing.

    The order intake for the half year ended September 30, 2024 stands at Rs 2,248 crore while the total order book stood at Rs 10,358 crore, said the company.

    Transrail Lighting is one of the leading Indian engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies with a primary focus on the power transmission and distribution business and integrated manufacturing facilities for lattice structures, conductors, and monopoles.

    It has a footprint in more than 58 countries.

    Last month, shares of Transrail Lighting Ltd surged nearly 37 per cent on the first day of trading against the issue price of Rs 432.

    The initial public offering (IPO) of Transrail Lighting received 80.80 times subscription.

    Transrail Lighting's Rs 839-crore initial share sale had a price band of Rs 410-432 per share.

    The company's IPO had a combination of a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 400 crore and an Offer-for-Sale of 1.01 crore equity shares by promoter Ajanma Holdings Pvt Ltd.

    Proceeds from the fresh issue will be used to fund incremental working capital requirements, to support capital expenditure and for general corporate purposes, the company said.
