Sun TV Network today reported an increase of 10.86 percent in its standalone net profit at Rs 240.16 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 216.63 crore in the October-December period of the last fiscal, Sun TV Network said in a BSE filing.
Total income from operations stood at Rs 589.43 crore during the quarter under review, up 32.82 percent from Rs 573.24 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Sun TV's total expenses during the quarter were down 3.80 percent to Rs 260.39 crore as against Rs 270.70 crore.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Sun TV informed BSE that its board in a meeting held today declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per equity share of Rs 5 each for the financial year 2016-17.
Shares of Sun TV Network closed the day at Rs 723.50 per scrip, down 2.01 percent from the previous close on BSE.
