Patanjali Foods on May 15 reported a 74 percent year-on-year jump in standalone net profit to Rs 358.5 crore for the March quarter (Q4FY25), compared to Rs 206.3 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company’s revenue from operations rose 17.8 percent YoY to Rs 9,692.2 crore, it said in a regulatory filing.
Gross profit for the quarter stood at Rs 1,656.4 crore, up 37.2 percent from Rs 1,206.9 crore in Q4FY24, supported by a favourable pricing environment. EBITDA rose 14.5 percent year-on-year to Rs 568.9 crore.
On the demand front, Patanjali noted that rural markets continued to outpace urban markets for the fifth consecutive quarter. “Rural India consumer demand grew four times faster than urban India,” the company said, though it added that the growth was modest and showed a minor sequential decline.
“With inflation cooling, households remained cautious and prioritised savings, resulting in tepid consumer demand,” it said.
The company observed a continued shift in consumption from general trade to modern trade, e-commerce, and quick commerce channels, driven largely by consumer preference for convenience.
Looking ahead, Patanjali expects the demand environment to gradually improve, supported by government initiatives and the prospect of a strong monsoon boosting agricultural output. “This is likely to enhance rural consumption and drive a stronger recovery in the second half of FY26,” it added.
Patanjali also reported export revenues of Rs 73.4 crore in Q4FY25, expanding its global footprint to 29 countries.
